The Heart of Korean Cuisine – Healthy, Delicious & Versatile!
This dried seaweed, called “Miyeok” in Korea, is an indispensable staple for authentic Asian dishes. Sourced from the clean waters off Jindo (South Korea), a region renowned for its premium sea quality.
Miyeok is characterized by its mild, oceanic flavor and tender yet chewy texture. It’s extremely economical: once soaked in water, it expands many times its volume and becomes wonderfully soft. Perfect for the famous Korean birthday soup (Miyeok-guk), fresh seaweed salads, or as a healthy addition to miso soups.
💡 Tip: A small handful is often enough for a large pot of soup! Soak in cold water for approximately 10–20 minutes before cooking, then rinse thoroughly.
